The family run Hotel Starkl dates back to 1928 when merchant Adolf Starkl took over the inn on the shores of Lake Bled. Nearly 100 years on, the hotel is back under the ownership of the heirs of the Starkl family and in 2021 it over went a complete renovation to bring it into the modern era, but with the Starkl legacy still intact.
The 12 rooms and 2 junior suites are all inspired by the legend of Bled's 'sunken bell' with on trend lake greens and golds featuring heavily, giving the rooms a true boutique hotel feel. Some rooms have spacious wooden balconies with superb views over the lake.
The hotel's location directly on the lake front is it's crowning glory, allowing guests quick and easy access to a pletna ride across to Bled island or the chance to simply relax on the lake shores.
The a la carte restaurant serves up home cooked, seasonal, Slovenian dishes with a Mediterranean twist.
Free parking is available onsite.
