Take an overnight flight to Denpasar, Bali.
Arrive in Denpasar and drive to the east coast of the island, a quiet stretch of white sand beach. Enjoy the afternoon at leisure.
Spend the morning at leisure. In the afternoon visit the temples of Taman Ayun and Tanah Lot - which is located on a rocky outcrop in the sea. Watch the splendid sunset. (B)
Drive up the slopes of Mount Batukaru, the second highest volcano in Bali, and visit the ancient Jatiluwih rice fields, an iconic image of the island. Stroll through the vibrant green rice paddies and visit a local market selling tropical fruits, vegetables and spices. Continue to the impressive Ulun Danu temple which gives the illusion of floating on the water. Continue to Munduk via the stunning crater lakes of Tamblingan and Buyan. (B,L,D)
Enjoy a light trek in the cool temperatures of Munduk passing waterfalls and numerous clove and coffee plantations – stop to sample the local brew. Depart on the scenic drive to the wild black sand beaches of the west coast passing local villages along the way. (B,D)

Drive along the north coast towards Lovina. Visit Bhrama Arama Vihara, the only Buddhist monastery in Bali which offers stunning views of the North Coast. Take a dip in the nearby Banjar Hot Springs before ending the day in Lovina. (B,D)
Depart Lovina and head to Pura Beji, a Subak temple dedicated to the spirit that looks after the rice fields. The temple has beautiful carvings to explore. Drive to Kintamani, where the still active volcano, Mount Batur, is surrounded by an impressive caldera. Visit Tirta Empul, a temple famous for its sacred spring waters before ending in the cultural heart of the island, Ubud. (B,L)
Explore Ubud. Visit ARMA Museum of Arts which houses an impressive collection of Balinese and Indonesian paintings. Continue to Ubud’s Royal Palace which was built in the 16th century and is still home to Ubud’s King and its Royal family. Peruse the colourful stalls of Ubud market which is full of locally made arts and crafts. After lunch at one of Ubud’s top restaurants, enjoy a Balinese massage. (B,L)
Fly to Labuan Bajo on the island of Flores. Transfer to an island resort in Komodo National Park. The park is made up of a group of islands and is home to the famous Komodo dragon. The area also offers world-class diving and snorkelling. (B,L)
