This morning return to Kuala Lumpur airport for the short hop across to Sandakan, Borneo, the gateway to Sabah's wildlife touring. Land and transfer out of the city to Sepilok and check in to MY Nature Resort, home for the next two nights. This afternoon enjoy time to relax after the flight or why not visit the nearby Rainforest Discovery Centre for a chance to see the flying squirrels at dusk. (B/D)

Today will kick start your wildlife experience off to a great start with a visit to Sepilok Orangutan Centre for the morning feeding of the orangutans. View the orangutans at their feeding platforms in the jungle setting and also the juveniles in the nursery. Continue to the nearby Bornean Sun Bear Conservation Centre which is involved in the conservation and rehabilitation of the endangered sun bears. Return for lunch before visiting the Rainforest Discovery Centre for the chance to explore the jungle landscape from their elevated walkway. Return to MY Nature Resort for dinner and overnight. This morning relax over breakfast before transferring to the Sandakan jetty after lunch to board a boat for a transfer up the Kinabatangan River. This is the first opportunity to search for the resident riverside wildlife. Arrive at Sukau Rainforest Lodge and enjoy afternoon tea. This afternoon take a sightseeing boat on the Kinabatangan River in search of wildlife. The region offers plenty of opportunities to see proboscis monkeys, hornbills, macaques, reptiles and possibly wild orangutans and the shy pygmy elephants. Return to the lodge for dinner before enjoying a slide show by the resident naturalist. (B/L/D)

This morning depart on a boat trip in search of the early risers of the Kelenanap Oxbow Lake region of the river. This is a good time to see the wildlife as they emerge in the cool of the  morning in search of breakfast. Return to the lodge for your own breakfast before enjoying an educational guided walking tour along the Hornbill Boardwalk. Return for time to relax, the lodge offers various leisure activities including a foot spa, batik painting and a small pool. Take afternoon tea before the final river cruise of the day followed by dinner. (B/L/D)

Another silent river cruise through the early morning mist explores the Menanggol River before a return for breakfast. Time is free this morning for further optional excursions before an afternoon visit to the nearby Gomantong Caves. Sitting surrounded by primary rainforest and often bursting with wild figs it is a great location for spotting orangutans keen to sample these jungle delicacies. Explore the cave and at sunset marvel at the millions of bats departing in search of dinner. (B/L/D) 

After breakfast return to Sandakan by boat and take the flight back to Kuala Lumpur. Land and meet a private driver for the road transfer to Marina Island jetty and the crossing to Pangkor Laut Resort, a privately owned island off the west coast of Malaysia. Only a fraction of the island developed to house this peaceful resort, the 140 villas are either set high amidst the hills, nestled within lush gardens or rest on stilts above the tropical waters.
