Arrive in Kathmandu and transfer to your hotel, with the rest of the day at leisure. Kathmandu is a sensory explosion! Though parts of the city were affected by the 2015 earthquake, Kathmandu remains captivating. This morning drive from Kathmandu to Chitwan National Park, a journey of around five to six hours. Chitwan National Park lies in the Inner Terai lowlands and consists of Sal forests, tall elephant grasslands, hills, ox-bow lakes and flood plains. Enlisted as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1984, the park is home to 56 species of mammals, 49 species of amphibians and reptiles and 525 species of birds. In the afternoon, visit the small village of Tharu to get a sense of what their world and lives are like through interactions with the villagers. This morning depart Chitwan and drive to Pokhara, a journey of around six to seven hours through pretty Nepalese scenery. Pokhara is the third largest city in Nepal and is the starting point for most of the treks in the Annapurna area. Pokhara is a remarkable place of natural beauty which has several beautiful lakes and offers stunning panoramic views of Himalayan peaks. The serenity of the lakes and the magnificence of the Himalayas rising behind them create an ambience of peace and magic. Enjoy the remainder of the day at leisure in Pokhara. (B)
This morning, enjoy a panoramic sunrise view from the lodge premises. Check out and proceed for a half day Damsadi village hike. The walk offers views of Pardi River, Annapurna, the Manaslu Himalayan range and the entire Pokhara valley. Continue the walk to Ambot Village before crossing the Damsadi Suspension bridge which stands at 224m long. After your walk, transfer to your lakeside hotel and check in. Begin the day with a visit to the World Peace Pagoda, a stunning Buddhist stupa offering panoramic views from its hilltop perch above Phewa Lake.
