Arrive in Rovaniemi airport, meet your guide and transfer to the Ounasvaaran Lakituvat Log Cabins.
Today learn how to survive in the wild on this guided day trip into the forest. Learn how to build an emergency shelter, start a fire without matches, and prepare a snack from food you will forage for yourself. There will also be the opportunity to try your hand at fishing on this activity-packed day suitable for the whole family! (B)
Today embark on a guided berry picking exciting excursion. Look up for blueberries and cloudberries and learn how to make juice out of your berries from your guide. (B)
After breakfast, embark on an exciting guided tour of some reindeer and husky farms. Meet with an authentic reindeer herder, take photos of the reindeer and learn more about their way of living as you sit down by the fireplace to relax with a hot drink. Continue to the husky farm and enjoy the huskies in a special 'husky hugging' - an area where you can pet the dogs freely. Finish the day with a visit to Santa Claus Village and meet the old man himself, Father Christmas. (B)
In the morning, check-out from Ounasvaaran Lakituvat Log Cabins and reach Rovaniemi Railway Station by private transfer for your train to Helsinki. Upon arrival, take a private transfer to your hotel in Helsinki and check in for 3 nights.
The Finnish capital is simply bursting with culture and activities sure to keep you busy. Spend the day exploring Helsinki at leisure. Perhaps, embark on a hop-on-hop-off Helsinki city sightseeing bus tour or, alternatively, take a dip in heated pool or brave the cold pool at Allas Sea Pool. (B)
