Fly to Lahad Datu and travel by 4WD to the remote Borneo Rainforest Lodge. Check in to one of their fabulous Premium Deluxe Villas for a three night stay and enjoy a sumptuous buffet lunch. After lunch embark on a stroll across the 'tree friendly' canopy walkway to observe treetop wildlife and admire stunning views. After dinner enjoy a night drive in search of nocturnal animals. Depart for a trek along 'Coffin Trail' which leads to an ancient Kadazandusun burial site and a magnificent lookout point. Return to the lodge and after a hearty lunch, embark on a guided hike along Segama Trail and East Trail in search of wildlife and birdlife. The whole region is a treasure trove of bird and animal life which the experienced guide will point out. After dinner go in search of nocturnal creatures on a walk after dark. (B,L,D)

This morning depart the lodge and travel back to Lahad Datu. Continue to Kinabatangan Riverside Lodge and check in to Sukau Rainforest Lodge - Borneo Villa. Late afternoon enjoy a river cruise to search for wildlife such as proboscis monkeys, pygmy elephants, various birdlife and wild orangutans. Overnight at the lodge. (B,L,D)

Rise early for a morning river cruise up the Kinabatangan River - this is the perfect time to search for wildlife as they wake up and ready themselves for the day. Stop to Kelenanap oxbow lake to view more birds and wildlife before returning to the lodge for breakfast. Mid morning join in the nature walk along the lodge’s Hornbill Boardwalk with the in-house naturalist. After lunch enjoy free time at leisure before a late afternoon river cruise to check off your wildlife sightings. (B,L,D)

Drive to Sandakan and onwards to the Sepilok region. Check in to MY Nature Resort and enjoy the remainder of the day free at leisure. Why not head to the nearby Rainforest Discovery Centre (RDC). Here, you can discover the rainforest from the treetops along a 347-metre-long canopy walkway and from the ground along the network of trails and paths. (B,L,D)

This morning visit the Sepilok Rehabilitation Centre to witness the orangutan feeding. There will be the opportunity to see the juveniles in the nursery before heading to the outdoor feeding platform to wait for the adults. Continue to the Borneo Sun Bear Conservation Centre which promotes sun bear conservation in Borneo through animal welfare, conservation, rehabilitation, research and education. Enjoy the remainder of the afternoon at leisure to relax in the resort's jungle surroundings. (B,L,D)

This morning fly to Kota Kinabalu. Drive to Kuala Penyu and travel by speedboat to the 5-star Borneo Eagle Resort - Coral Villa. Enjoy the rest of the day at leisure. (B,L,D)
