Tour Itinerary
Fly to Rovaniemi and transfer to the hotel. Perhaps visit the fascinating Arktikum Museum, which offers a great insight into life in Lapland and Sami culture. This evening we recommend booking optional northern light excursions such as our snowmobile safari into the wilderness to search for the northern lights or our aurora borealis picnic.
Enjoy a morning at leisure, perhaps shop for souvenirs or relax in one of Rovaniemi's cosy cafes. This afternoon travel by snowmobile to visit a local reindeer farm, take a short reindeer sleigh ride and get your 'International Reindeer Driving Licence' certificate. (B)
Today transfer to a local husky farm, meet the excitable dogs and help harness them up before embarking on a 1-hour husky safari. Take turns driving the dogs and sitting in the sledge, enjoying the view as the snowy scenery rushes past, the silence broken only by the panting of the dogs and their feet padding against the fresh snow. Stop halfway to switch drivers, enjoy a photo opportunity and keep warm with a hot drink. (B)
