Tour Itinerary
Arrive on the Island of Vágar, one of eighteen islands that make up the Faroes. Transfer by shuttle to a cosy B&B in Tórshavn. Enjoy an afternoon guided walking tour of Tórshavn. Led by a friendly local guide, you will explore key sites like the parliament, church, old town, ancient parliament site and Skansin. Enjoy a relaxed pace with plenty of time for questions, photos and personal stories from your guide.
Meet the local guide for a 15km bicycle tour around Tórshavn. Discover the city's historical sites and beautiful spots with plenty of chances to stop for a photo.Later in the evening, enjoy a traditional meal ( Heimablidni) at a local home. You may be alone or joined by fellow diners who also want to experience a delicious and traditional home-cooked Faroese meal. (B,D)
Today is free to explore independently or discover more of the Faroe Islands on an optional excursion. In Tórshavn, delve a little deeper into Faroese culture at the National Museum, browse contemporary Faroese art at the National Gallery or visit the striking Nordic House. There is also plenty of time to enjoy the capital’s independent shops, cafés and restaurants.
Alternatively, join a full-day guided tour visiting some of the islands’ most scenic villages and landscapes, including Gjógv, Saksun, Tjørnuvík, Bøur and Gásadalur.
Another option is to travel by local bus to Vestmanna for a boat trip beneath the dramatic bird cliffs and into coastal grottoes, followed by lunch and a visit to the SagaMuseum. Please speak to us if you would like to pre-book an optional excursion. (B)
This morning, make your way to the harbour and board the ferry to Nólsoy (payable locally) for a guided morning tour of this tranquil island. Your local guide will lead you through key sites and stunning viewpoints while sharing the island’s fascinating history and local legends. Afterwards, enjoy a home-cooked meal at a local residence, where your hosts serve seasonal dishes made with fresh ingredients from their own gardens and farms. Spend the afternoon exploring more of Nólsoy at your own pace before heading back to Tórshavn. (B,L)

International flights are based on the direct Gatwick–Vágar service operating on Tuesdays and Saturdays or Edinburgh on Mondays and Thursdays, with regional departures via Copenhagen also available (supplements may apply).
