San Rocco Heritage Hotel

San Rocco Heritage Hotel is a refined boutique hotel owned by the Fernetich family for generations, located in the village of Brtonigla at the heart of the Istrian interior. Carefully restored in 2004, the property has been transformed into exclusive accommodation that celebrates local craftsmanship and regional heritage. With just 14 individually designed rooms, the hotel offers an intimate and highly personal stay, particularly appealing in the quieter spring and autumn seasons.

Each room is unique in layout and style, featuring traditional materials such as local stone, wood, and wrought iron. Some rooms overlook the swimming pool and manicured gardens, while others enjoy views across the village. Dining is a standout feature, with the acclaimed San Rocco Restaurant — a member of the Jeunes Restaurateurs d’Europe — specialising in seasonal Istrian cuisine, including fresh fish, truffles, mushrooms, and game. The hotel also produces its own extra virgin olive oil, wine vinegar, and pâté.
