Set on the banks of the Alta River amid the wild landscapes of northern Norway, Sorrisniva Arctic Wilderness Lodge combines contemporary comfort with an immersive Arctic wilderness experience.
Just outside Alta, the lodge is surrounded by pristine nature and provides an ideal base for experiencing the region’s dramatic seasons, from the northern lights and snow-covered winter landscapes to the midnight sun and long summer days. The lodge is part of the wider Sorrisniva experience, with a range of Arctic adventures available nearby, including snowmobiling, husky sledding, river excursions and visits to the world’s northernmost Igloo Hotel. Floor-to-ceiling windows throughout the lodge make the surrounding wilderness a central part of the stay.
The lodge has 24 rooms and suites, including River Rooms, River Suites and larger premium suites. All are designed to make the most of the setting, with panoramic windows overlooking the Alta River and surrounding wilderness.
Maku Restaurant offers an elegant dining experience centred on seasonal ingredients from Arctic Norway, including local seafood, reindeer, moose, berries and produce from nearby farms. The lodge also has a stylish bar and panoramic lounge.
