Melderstein Manor

This 280 year old manor is found in an idyllic and undisturbed location near the Råneå River, just 45 minutes north of Lulea Airport. Steeped in the history of the land, the property and was originally built in 1741 by Carl-Johan Thingwall, who ran one of the first mining operations in the area. While the property changed hands several times throughout the years, it is now back in the ownership of the Thingwall family, who have decided to share their ancestral family home with visitors looking for an authentic and relaxing experience in Northern Sweden.

There are 13 en-suite rooms spread across two buildings at Melderstein. Seven of the rooms are within the Manor and a further six are found in the Courtyard Annex. The Manor rooms are delightfully decorated, drawing inspiration from the building's historic roots. The Annex Rooms have all be refurbished in a classic contemporary Swedish style.

Guests can enjoy use of the guest kitchen and lounge area or relax in Melderstein's very own sauna. Yoga classes, massage treatments and other wellbeing activities are available as are all the traditional winter activities expected in Swedish Lapland, including excellent northern light hunts.
