Tour Itinerary
Fly to Tromsø airport, pick up your car hire and drive to Kilpisjärvi (journey is approx. 2.5 hours), a lively little village at the top of Finland's "arm" just across the Norwegian border. On arrival, check- in at the new design hotel Santa's Hotel Rakka for four nights. (B)
Start your day by unwinding at your hotel before embarking on an exhilarating snowmobile adventure across Lake Kilpisjärvi. In the evening, step outside your hotel and look out for the elusive aurora borealis. (B)
Today, explore the Finnish tundra on foot by joining a guided soft-adventure snowshoe hike through the snowy landscape of Kilpisjärvi. This adventure is perfect for beginners, and hiking both uphill and downhill can be surprisingly enjoyable, as snowshoes float effortlessly even in deep snow. In the evening, retreat back to your hotel or perhaps stay out and search once more for the northern lights. (B)
