Autumn Auroras at Apukka Glass Igloos Resort
Even though many people associate the aurora with cold and snowy destinations, one of the most active seasons is autumn and the lights can be seen from as early as September.
By day, autumnal colours are reflected in glass-mirror lakes and by night, the sky can be filled with the dancing Northern Lights.
Tour Itinerary
Fly to Rovaniemi, the capital of Lapland, transfer to the Apukka Glass Igloos Resort (approx. 10 minutes) and check in for three nights in an Aurora Cabin.
In the morning, transfer to a husky farm and meet with an authentic husky musher before embarking on a 3-km husky carriage ride through the forest. Learn more about their everyday life at the farm and enjoy hot juice by a campfire in the middle of the Lappish nature. (B)

After breakfast, enjoy the beautiful days of Autumn on a 2-km walk with reindeer. Get to know these magnificent creatures as you walk them in the Arctic nature, breathe in the world's cleanest air before stopping around a campfire and hear stories about these fascinating animals by a local reindeer herder. After the walk, try your skills as a reindeer herder by catching a reindeer with a traditional lasso called “suopunki''. In the evening, embark on an exciting excursion by car and hunt for the elusive Northern Lights. (B)
After breakfast, transfer to the airport for the flight back to the UK. (B)
