In the afternoon, around 14:00 PM, your guide and driver will take you to the royal Taman Ayun temple in Mengwi, known for its unique multi-roofed structures set in a fish pond. Later, head to Tanah Lot for its famous sunset view, situated dramatically on a rock in the sea and accessible to the local Hindu population during low tide. (B)

After breakfast, check out and meet your driver and guide for the next stage of your journey. Begin with a visit to Rambut Siwi Temple, one of Bali’s lesser-known but most scenic temples, set dramatically above the coast. Continue to the Perancak Turtle Conservation Centre, where you can learn about local efforts to protect sea turtles and, if conditions allow, see baby turtles being released into the ocean. Nearby, observe the colourful fishing boats in the Perancak estuary.
Next, stop at Pangambengan Harbour, home to a striking fleet of traditional phinisi fishing vessels, built using ancient Bugis techniques in Bali’s only Bugis village. Drive on to Palasari, Bali’s only Catholic village, to visit its cathedral, followed by a short visit to the island’s only Protestant village and its church. Continue west to your next resort. The remainder of the day is at leisure to enjoy the surroundings. (B)

After breakfast at the hotel, depart around 09:00 for a snorkelling trip to Menjangan Island, joining a boat organised by the hotel.
Located off the north-west coast of Bali, Menjangan Island is part of West Bali National Park and is widely regarded as one of the best snorkelling and diving areas in the region. The island is named after the native deer that inhabit it and is surrounded by a protected marine environment known for its clear water and healthy reefs. Spend the morning snorkelling over vibrant coral gardens and steep reef walls, home to an impressive variety of marine life, including sea fans, pygmy seahorses, colourful gorgonians, schools of snapper and occasional reef sharks. Visibility is typically excellent, often reaching up to 30–50 metres, making it ideal for underwater exploration. (B)

In the morning, go on a brief forest trek with a local guide organised by The Menjangan. Explore the surroundings, with the possibility of encountering wildlife within the forest. Upon completing the trek, proceed with check-out. Depart from West Bali and drive to the next accommodation in the Munduk area. Check-in and have the rest of the day at leisure. (B)
