Tour Itinerary
Fly to Bucharest, where you will be met on arrival and transferred to your four-star hotel. The remainder of the day is free to get your bearings and explore independently. Head into the historic Old Town, walk along elegant Calea Victoriei or settle into one of the city’s cafés or restaurants. Bucharest’s mix of Belle Époque architecture, Communist-era landmarks and lively neighbourhoods makes it an interesting city to discover on foot.
After breakfast, transfer to Therme Bucharest for a day dedicated to relaxation. This vast thermal bathing complex is filled with tropical vegetation and offers warm indoor and outdoor pools alongside areas designed for swimming and relaxation. Spend the day enjoying the facilities included with your pass at your own pace, with restaurants and bars available for refreshments. At the end of your visit, transfer back to your hotel in Bucharest. (B)
Leave Bucharest this morning for a private journey across the Carpathians into Transylvania. Visit the Libearty Bear Sanctuary near Zărnești, where rescued brown bears are cared for in extensive forested enclosures. Continue to 14th-century Bran Castle, an imposing medieval fortress with royal connections and a later association with the Dracula legend. Complete the day in Brașov, with time to discover the historic centre around Piața Sfatului and see the Gothic Black Church, before returning to Bucharest. This is a full-day excursion of approximately 12 hours. (B)
Depending on your flight departure time, enjoy some final time at leisure in Bucharest. Perhaps browse the shops along Calea Victoriei, return to the Old Town or stop for coffee before meeting your driver for the transfer to Bucharest Henri Coandă International Airport. Check in for your flight back to the UK. (B)
