Tour Itinerary
On arrival in Ljubljana you will be met and transferred to the Vila Planinka by private car. Check-in and welcome drink on arrival.
Explore the Jezersko valley from the comfort of your electric bicycle. A full days hire is included today to allow you full opportunity to take in the stunning scenery and remote nature of this corner of Slovenia. The valley was formed by a glacial lake which has long since disappeared and the artificially created Lake Planšar is now the place to stop off for a refreshing dip or a picnic. Dinner is included at the hotel this evening. (B,D)
Enjoy a culinary wine tasting experience today. Experience the authentic flavours of organic cured meats, matured goat cheeses and the finest Slovenian wines. You'll be taken to a world of fermentation and maceration, tradition, authentic flavours and fine aromas. Samples include minced lard paired with sparkling wine and venison salami paired with Pinot Noir. (B, wine tasting)
Take the opportunity to further explore the area, perhaps opting to hire a guide to head out on a mountain hike to several of the surrounding peaks (ranging from Ceska Koca at 1542m to Grintovec at 2558m), or relax and make use of the facilities back at the hotel. (B)
