Your journey begins with a scenic drive to your hotel upon arrival at Vágar Airport, and your first adventure takes you on a rib boat ride to see the famous Drangarnir sea arch, followed by a day of exploration on Vágar Island. You'll bike, hike, and kayak through awe-inspiring landscapes, visiting charming villages and enjoying local Faroese delicacies. With adventure around every corner, this trip is an unforgettable immersion into the wild beauty of the Faroe Islands.

DAY 1
FLY TO VAGAR
Bour village on Vagar Island

Arrive at Vágar airport and collect the hire car and a map, make the short drive to the hotel.

DAY 2
VAGAR TO TORSHAVN

This morning drive to the village of Sørvágur on Vágar island for a rib boat adventure to see the famous sea arch of Drangarnir. Glide by serene fjords and rolling hills before arriving at this iconic natural wonder. After a brief walk, you’ll have over an hour to explore the wild landscape, with plenty of time to capture photos from various angles. Your local captain will share insights, pointing out the best spots to appreciate Drangarnir’s dramatic beauty.
After, explore the island of Vágar, before the drive to the Faroese capital of Torshavn. Visit the villages of Gásadalur to discover the panoramic view over the island of Mykines. (B)

DAY 3
TORSHAVN
Ziplining in Hoyvík, just outside Torshavn

Today either make the short drive or walk to Hoyvík for an adrenaline-filled zip line adventure. Enjoy the thrill of flying over breathtaking coastal scenery, offering unforgettable vistas of cliffs and ocean. Spend the rest of the day in and around the charming capital and discover a variety of restaurants, cafés and handicraft shops. Stroll along the harbourside, visit the Nordic House, and explore the old town with its many turf-roofed houses including Tinganes, the world's oldest parliament. (B)

DAY 4
TORSHAVN TO KLAKSVIK
Norðradalur, Faroe Islands

Enjoy a 28km bike ride with a local guide to Norðradalsskarð, 225m above sea level. Take in breathtaking views of Koltur Island and the surrounding landscape before returning to Tórshavn. In the afternoon, drive through the 11km Eysturoy Sea Tunnel, the world’s only undersea tunnel with a roundabout and local artwork. The town of Klaksvík sprawls around the bay and up the steep mountainsides, known for its award-winning brewery and lovely cathedral. As evening approaches, your tour begins at the ferry harbour in Klaksvík. Led by a local farmer and Kalsoy guide, visit the iconic Kallur Lighthouse, explore Mikladalur village, and see the Kópakonan statue. End with Faroese delicacies before being driven back to the ferry. (B)

DAY 5
KLAKSVIK
Klaksvík. Faroe Island

Explore the town Klaksvík on your own or perhaps enjoy a moderate hike of around 9km (around two hours) from the edge of Klaksvík to Klakkur. It can be a little muddy but has amazing views of surrounding islands, if the weather is clear. Maybe head to Kunoy (11km, 15 mins) crossing a scenic causeway and narrow tunnel to reach this tranquil village. Marvel at the deserted beauty of Múli, a village abandoned since 1992, yet immortalised in the Faroese crime series, Trom. There is another easy circular hike here of 2.6km, 45 minutes through a small forest. Conclude your exploration at Viðareiði (25km, 30 mins), the northernmost village of the Faroe Islands, famed for its dramatic landscapes, rich maritime history, and the towering cliffs of Enniberg. DAY 6
KLAKSVIK TO SKALAVIK
Kayaking on Lake Sandsvatn

This morning, journey to Sandoy Island via the sea tunnel from Streymoy. In the afternoon, enjoy the freedom of a solo kayaking adventure on Lake Sandsvatn, surrounded by tranquil landscapes, birdlife, and gentle mountains. This unique experience offers an unforgettable perspective of Sandoy from the water. (B)

DAY 7
SANDOY
The village of Húsavík, Sandoy

Embark on a scenic hike to Líðargjógv cave, a 50m-deep natural wonder. Experience shifts in temperature, sound, and light as you explore its depths, with views of bird cliffs and geological features along the way. Led by a local guide , the two-hour hike is moderate but includes steep and rocky sections. Discover fossils, tree imprints, and enjoy breaks for breathtaking scenery. Remember to bring a torch and consider a hiking stick for balance on uneven terrain.
Afterwards, explore Sandoy at your own pace and discover its unique treasures. Snap a photo of the iconic turf house by Norðara Helsavatn, visit the Sandur Village Museum to glimpse 19th century life, or head to Dalur, where locals are known for their ballad singing during a traditional Faroese chain dance. FLY TO THE UK
Velbastadur village on Stremoy Island

Return the hire car to Vágar airport and fly back to the UK. (B)
