Arrive in Stockholm and collect your hire car at the airport. Rest of the day at leisure. Stockholm offers a wide selection of world-class museums and attractions. Most of the city’s attractions can be reached on foot, and there’s a good chance of experiencing a lot of things in a short time.

Spend the day exploring Stockholm. We recommend the Town Hall and the Blue Hall, where the Nobel celebration takes place every year. Visit the Royal Castle with the national church Storkyrkan, the Vasa Museum with the 69m long warship Vasa, the oldest and most beautiful open air museum Skansen, the sculpture garden Millesgarden with a breath-taking view over Stockholm and the harbour entrance. In the afternoon, take the road towards Trosa, a town located only 65km south of Stockholm. Trosa is famous for its small flat wooden houses and the river promenade. Evening arrival in Linköping.
