Tour Itinerary
Arrive in Rovaniemi, transfer to your cosy log cabin and check-in for a three-night stay.
Today, learn about the traditional husky lifestyle and how these beautiful animals are cared for at a local husky farm before enjoying an exhilarating husky safari through the Arctic wilderness. Spend the afternoon at leisure relaxing at your log cabin. In the evening, transfer to a local reindeer farm, sit comfortably in a reindeer-drawn sleigh and head off through the snowy forests for a hour’s ride looking out for the elusive Aurora Borealis. (B)
No visit to Finnish Lapland is complete without a visit to see Santa Claus and his trusted helpers. Head to beautifully-presented Santa Claus Village to meet Father Christmas, visit Santa’s Official Post Office, enjoy some festive shopping and why not stop here for lunch. In the afternoon, explore the landscape on an exhilarating snowmobile ride. Travel to a reindeer farm to meet a local reindeer herd. Here settle back into a sleigh and experience a short reindeer sleigh ride, and take part in a “Crossing of the Arctic Circle” ceremony before snowmobiling back to Rovaniemi. This excursion is around 6.5 hours. (B,L)
