Visit the dolomite cliff and caves on the northern shore, the 13th-century St Catherine’s Church, abandoned Soviet missile base and the old Koguva fishing village.
This holiday is available from March through to October (The Pädaste Manor closes during winter months)
Arrive in Tallinn. Transfer to the hotel and check in for four nights.
Today set out to explore Tallinn. Tallinn's Old Town is divided into two distinct parts: Toompea Hill, where the seat of the Estonian government can be found at Toompea Castle, as well as the 19th-century symbol of the Tsar's power in Estonia, the grandiose Alexander Nevsky Cathedral. Lower Town is where you will find the medieval part of Tallinn, cobbled lanes and alleys, and an impressive market square.
Make sure to visit Kohtuotsa and Patkuli viewing platforms for sweeping vistas of Tallinn’s red-tiled roofs, towers and walls set against the backdrop of the Baltic Sea. (B)
Perhaps book an optional excursion today and venture out of Tallinn to Lahemaa National Park. Lahemaa means ‘the land of bays’ and this beautiful coastal landscape covers a large area of protected primeval forest, small rivers and a number of hiking trails. Or strap on your walking boots and head out on a guided bog walk! The Estonians love their bogs – walk on wooden walkways around ponds, climb a watchtower whilst listening to stories from excellent local guides. (B)
Free day in Tallinn to explore at leisure. Perhaps take a short tram ride to the district of Kalamaja. This former medieval fishing village is now a hip, modern quarter, home to some of Tallinn’s innovative museums including the Energy Discovery Centre and the Seaplane Harbour, as well as bohemian restaurants, pubs and bars. (B)
Take a private transfer from Tallinn to Pädaste Manor. Check in for 3 nights at the remote and luxurious Pädaste Manor, located on the Estonian island of Muhu overlooking the Baltic Sea. This evening enjoy a sumptuous dinner at the Alexander Restaurant, one of the best restaurants in Estonia. (B)
Today relax in this haven of peace, take walks into the nature and by the coast, relax in a wood-fired sauna or enjoy a soak in a seawater hot tub overlooking the bay. It’s hard to tear yourself away from the blissful solitude of Pädaste Manor to explore the islands of Muhu and Saaremaa. (B)
Free day to explore Muhu Island or relax with the various spa treatments on offer in Pädaste Manor. Their spa treatments are based on old Muhu herbal traditions and all oils and creams are prepared daily (speak to us about booking your spa treatments). Choose between a warm stone or a Muhu honey massage or enjoy a traditional Muhu hay, mud or seaweed wrap. (B)
