Hoi An ancient town is just a short drive from nearby Da Nang but a world away from the resorts and golf courses of its nearest neighbour. The town has a wealth of history to immerse ones self in and a very laidback feel, its very compact so is easy to explore on foot or by bicycle: wander around the various bars and restaurants or dive into one of the many, many tailor shops offering tailor-made silk clothes, a trade the town is famous for.
