Picturesque Piran is one of the loveliest towns anywhere along the Adriatic coast. Located on the tip of a narrow peninsula, its pretty Old Town is one of the best-preserved historical towns anywhere in the Mediterranean and is a gem of Venetian Gothic architecture.

Here, enjoy strolls along atmospheric winding alleyways, amazing sunsets and dinning in incredible seafood restaurants.

It can get very busy during the summer months and only has a small selection of hotels so using Portoroz as a base can be helpful when they are full; the two are linked by a waterfront promenade making it only a 40 minute walk.
