Hotel Bohinj is a contemporary four-star hotel reopened in 2021 following a thoughtful renovation focused on sustainability, local craftsmanship, and modern Alpine design.
Set in the heart of Triglav National Park, the hotel offers a peaceful retreat surrounded by dramatic mountain scenery.
The hotel has 69 rooms, mainly Classic and Comfort categories, many with balconies and mountain views, and a small number with lake views. Rooms feature panoramic windows, hardwood floors and walls, and furniture crafted by local artisans, creating a warm, natural Alpine feel. All rooms are designed with comfort and simplicity in mind.
The on-site restaurant highlights local Bohinj and Alpine specialities, using ingredients sourced from the surrounding region. A relaxed café provides a welcoming space for drinks and light refreshments throughout the day.
Located less than 100 metres from Lake Bohinj, the hotel is ideally positioned for hiking, swimming, cycling, and winter sports. Guests can unwind in the Spa & Wellness Centre, which includes an outdoor whirlpool, sauna, and salt therapy room. Sustainability is central to the hotel’s ethos, with energy-efficient systems, geothermal heat pumps, and low-impact lighting designed to protect the national park’s dark skies.
“Hotel Bohinj is an excellent example of sustainable design done well. Its beautiful Alpine setting, strong local identity, and proximity to Lake Bohinj make it a standout choice for nature lovers.” – Ellie Marr, Senior Product Executive
