Lake Bohinj is located some 26km from Lake Bled and in many ways is more beautiful. It’s less crowded and more authentic, even during the busy summer season. People come here primarily to relax or to swim in the crystal-clear water. There are plenty of cycling and walking trails to occupy the active visitor, as well as other pursuits like kayaking, hiking and horse riding. There are a number of towns and villages located around the lake such as Ribčev Laz, Ukanc and Bohinjska Bistrica, where several hotels are located.
