For those short on time, discover the highlights of Armenia and Georgia on this twin-centre holiday. Explore the historic city of Yerevan, one of the oldest continually inhabited cities in the world which offers great views of Mount Ararat. Educate yourself in innumerable museums, stroll wide boulevards and enjoy coffee and the local brandy in any number of street side cafes and restaurants. Continue to colourful Tbilisi with its meandering maze of streets in the historic Old Town. Ride the steep funicular railway to the summit of Mount Mtatsminda for panoramic views of the city and cross the modern Peace Bridge to Rike Park with its abundance of flowers.
Tour Itinerary
Depart London Gatwick with Ukrainian International Airlines to Yerevan via Kiev.
Arrive in the small hours of the morning where you will be met and transferred to your hotel for a 4 nights stay. Enjoy the rest of the night and the morning at leisure after the long journey (with breakfast available at the hotel). at 12:30 meet your guide for a walking tour of Yerevan. Start with a welcome lunch at the Tavern Yerevan Restaurant before continuing on to Republic Square. You will also visit Freedom Square, pass the Armenian Opera Theatre, Victory Square and the Mother Armenia Statue. Take a ride on the metro before returning to your hotel for the night. (B,L)

After breakfast check out of your hotel and transfer to the bus station to catch the public bus to Tbilisi, a journey of 290km. On arrival make your own way to the Kisi Hotel to check-in for 4 nights, and enjoy the rest of the day at leisure. (B)
Meet your guide after breakfast and head out on a walking tour of Tbilisi. Pass the Sulfur Bathhouse and head through the Old Town to Liberty Square. Walk along Rustaveli Avenue, passing the Georgian National Museum, Parliament building, Kashueti Church and the Opera & Ballet Theatre before heading underground and on to the metro. Back above ground take the cable car to Narikala Fortress for views across the Old Town and descend on foot back to your hotel. (B)
