Escape to the beautiful region of Lake Skadar in Montenegro's south-eastern corner on this six day break, staying at the cosy, family run, Eco Resort Cermeniza.
This short break will allow you to truly get away from it all and experience laid-back Montenegrin living in authentic surroundings whilst being spoilt with fantastic home cooked food, home produced wines and fantastic hospitality.
Unwind by the pool, kayak on the lake, cycle its perimeter, tour the family vineyards and make time to see a little more of the country on a day trip to the spectacular Boka Bay.

Tour Itinerary
Fly to Montenegro's capital, Podgorica (alternative option to fly to Tivat on the coast). On arrival, be met and transferred to the Eco Resort Cermeniza by private car. Dinner is included, so why not try a local speciality such as river trout accompanied by vegetables grown on site. (D)
Head out for a two-hour boat ride on Lake Skadar today. On this slow and relaxing journey, glide across the lily strewn lake, admiring the flora and fauna and trying to spot some of the 270 species of bird that call this lake home, as well as enjoying some tasty authentic Priganice (fried dough with sugar or honey). The rest of the day to be enjoyed at leisure, relaxing by the pool and sampling some of the resorts own wines during a wine tasting session with the oldest member of the Đurišić family- Grandfather Đurišić. Spend the day on a private tour of the coastal jewels of old town Kotor and the surrounding Boka Bay area. Wander the marble streets with a guide and discover shady piazzas flanked by bustling cafes and Venetian Palaces. Admire the impressive city walls and perhaps stop for a coffee and a spot of the favoured Balkan past-time of people watching. Continue around Boka Bay, where the brooding black mountains meet the sea. Visit the small baroque town of Perast and take a boat tour to the Island of Our Lady of the Rocks, which came to be from the purposeful sinking of seized ships. Continue to the town of Risan and visit Porto Montenegro in Tivat. Return to Virpazar after the tour. (B)
Spend the day enjoying the accommodation and making use of the free of charge kayaks and bicycles. Further explore Lake Skadar, the charming town of Virpazar and Besac Fortress for splendid views of the surrounding area. (B)
Spend another day at leisure or choose to take an optional excursion to explore more of the country. A nice option is the Old Royal Montenegro day tour which visits coastal Budva, the old royal capital of Cetinje, Lovcen National Park and the 461 steps up to the monument of Petar II Petrovic Njegos, as well as the village of Njegusi, famous for its smoked meats and cheese. Transfer back to Podgorica/Tivat Airport or on to another region of Montenegro. (B)
