Tour Itinerary
On arrival at Bergen airport, collect your rental car. The remainder of the day is free to explore this gateway to the fjords. Why not visit Bryggen, the ancient colourful wooden quarter listed as a UNESCO world heritage site, or take the funicular to see the city from Mount Floien. Overnight at Zander K Hotel or similar.
Head towards Voss, and the Vossevangen waterfall, which shoud not be missed. Pass Gudvangen to arrive on the banks of .the village of Flam, nestled in the hollow of Sognefjord, the most spectacular of Norway's fjords. We recommend a stop at the village of Undredal on the road to pet the goats. It has more goats than inhabitants and offers many local products as well as a charming small white stave church. Overnight at Freitheim Hotel or similar.(B)
Depart by RIB boat on the Naeroyfjord, the narrowest and deepest arm of the Sognefjord. Enjoy the breathtaking scenery, stories, tales and history shared by your personal guide. Get close to nature and spot for seals, porpoises and eagles along the way. Overnight at Freitheim Hotel or similar. (B)
Take the famous Flamsbana train to Myrdal station. This is breathtaking and is ranked amongst the most beautiful train journeys in the world.On arrival, take the train on to Berekvamn where a guide will meet you with all the necessary equipment for a downhill bike ride to the fjord. Enjoy the thrill of traversing mountain paths, crossing glacier torrents, admiring the waterfalls. In the afternoon, you return to the road and cross the fjord between Fodnes and Mannheller by ferry.(B)
Being in the middle of the Jostedalsbreen National Park, you are in the heart of the glaciers. Admire this incredible phenomenon of nature. An easy walk on the glacier, discovering its crevasses and secrets. Explore the Nigardsbreen Glacier with the help of the professional guides, the right equipment and expert guide. (B)
Enjoy some free time in the park in the morning..Why not take one of the many hiking tracks. In the afternoon, prepare for a 3 hour rafting experience. Sail on rapids suitable for families and feel the thrill of the ice water rushing around you. (B)
Take the road back to Bergen and cross the Sognefjord in the opposite direction. Follow the fjord to Lavik to make the most of the stunning scenery.Make the most of the time left in Bergen by exploring the city.Overnight at Zander K Hotel or similar. (B)
Drive to Bergen airport and drop off the hire car before taking the flight back to the UK. (B)
