Highlights of Poland Group Tour

Arrive in Krakow and transfer to the centrally located Golden Tulip Krakow City Center, or similar, for a two-night stay. Later, meet your tour escort and fellow travellers at a welcome meeting, with a champagne cocktail or juice. The remainder of the day is free to settle in and perhaps take your first walk through Krakow’s atmospheric streets.

Spend the morning exploring Krakow, Poland’s former royal capital. A guided tour introduces the historic Old Town, including St Mary’s Church, the Jagiellonian University and Cloth Hall, before continuing to Wawel Hill to visit Wawel Castle and see Wawel Cathedral.

In the afternoon, travel to the UNESCO-listed Wieliczka Salt Mine. Descend beneath the ground to discover an extraordinary network of chambers, passages and chapels carved from salt, created during centuries of mining before returning to Krakow. (B)

This morning, visit Auschwitz-Birkenau Memorial and Museum, preserved on the site of the former German Nazi concentration and extermination camp. Join an educational guided visit through Auschwitz I and Auschwitz II-Birkenau, learning about the history of the site and remembering those who were imprisoned and murdered here.

Afterwards, transfer to Krakow railway station and travel by high-speed train to Warsaw. On arrival, transfer to your hotel for a two-night stay. (B)

Discover Poland’s capital on a guided morning tour. Much of Warsaw was destroyed during the Second World War, but its historic centre was painstakingly reconstructed and is now UNESCO World Heritage-listed. Follow the Royal Route and explore the Old Town, seeing the Royal Castle, St John’s Cathedral, Old Town Market Square and the Barbican.

The afternoon is free to explore independently or join an optional excursion to Royal Lazienki Park and the Palace on the Isle. (B)

Transfer to the railway station and travel north by train to Gdansk. On arrival, transfer to your hotel before setting out on a guided walking tour of the historic centre. Stroll along Dlugi Targ, the Long Market, and see landmarks including St Mary’s Church, St Bridget’s Church, Artus Court and Gdansk Town Hall.

Afterwards, enjoy some free time to explore the waterfront and atmospheric streets independently. (B)

Enjoy a free day in Gdansk to explore more of this historic Baltic city at your own pace. Alternatively, join an optional excursion through the Tri-City area, linking Gdansk with the seaside resort of Sopot and neighbouring Gdynia. Travel along the Gulf of Gdansk, visit Sopot’s famous pier and enjoy an organ music concert at Oliwa Cathedral before returning to Gdansk. Spend your final evening at leisure. (B)

Enjoy breakfast at the hotel and, depending on your flight time, there may be some free time for a final stroll through Gdansk, perhaps picking up some last-minute souvenirs or enjoying a coffee in the historic centre. Later, transfer to Gdansk Airport for your return flight to the UK. (B)
