Lapland Arctic Light Winter Break
Designed with families or couples in mind, this short tour combines the best of the picturesque arctic landscapes with thrilling excursions to entertain visitors of all ages. Race through the snow on electric snowmobiles illuminated by the flickering northern lights dancing in the skies above, climb aboard a husky sleigh and enjoy a thrilling ride through snow-covered landscapes, and unwind at the end of the day in the comfort of a stylish Arctic Light hotel room.
Tour Itinerary
Arrive at Rovaniemi airport and transfer to Rovaniemi. Check in to the Arctic Light hotel for a three-night stay. This evening, experience the magic of Lappish nature in the evening twilight. Drive through the snowy winter landscape on electric snowmobiles before stopping for a break in the middle of the forest. While the guide makes a camp fire, listen to stories and facts about the Northern Lights. Enjoy delicious Lappish delicacies prepared on the fire and hopefully observe the northern lights above you. This afternoon, embark on an e-snowmobile safari and enjoy nature in total silence. Drive crossing the frozen waters of Lake Lehtojärvi and through snow-capped forests. Get closer to nature riding these silent/zero emissions electric snowmobile and enjoy hot berry juice and biscuits over a campfire. (B)
After breakfast, embark on a 1-hour husky sleigh safari. Ride through snowy trails, see the fascinating Arctic landscape and enjoy a break and photo stops in the Lappish wilderness. This afternoon, why not book an optional excursion and discover the traditions of life in Lapland on a reindeer and ice fishing safari. Ride through the Arctic wilderness on a reindeer-drawn sleigh to a frozen lake, learn how to drill a hole in the ice and try some ice-fishing. (B)
After breakfast, transfer to the airport for the flight to the UK. (B)
