A day in Flåm is perfect for slowing down and enjoying the spectacular fjord setting. The Flåm Railway is one of the most incredible railway journeys in the world. The scenic railway takes you on a captivating journey with stunning views of cascading waterfalls, deep ravines, and lush, serene landscapes along the way to Myrdal. This is where you change trains between the Bergen and Flåm Railway.Myrdal station is small and only has two tracks, so changing between trains is very easy. Take the Bergen Railway to Oslo. This is often described as one of the world's most scenic train journeys. This iconic railway offers passengers a mesmerising ride through rugged mountains, lush valleys, and pristine fjords. On arrival into Oslo, make your way to your hotel. (B)

Today is free to explore Oslo or to book an optional activity. Norway's capital is an energetic and modern hub which is easily explored by foot. Take a stroll along the city's harbour front and past the iconic Opera House or explore one of the many museums or art galleries on offer in the city (the National Museum and the Fram Museum are both excellent options). Vigeland Park, filled with over 200 sculptures, is also well worth a visit on a sunny day. (B)

The train journey with the Dovrebanen is a mesmerizing ride taking you through some of Norway's most dramatic landscapes. The train travels through the scenic Gudbrandsdalen valley and crosses the picturesque Dovrefjell mountain range and you will be treated to breathtaking views of rugged terrain, dense forests, and the true Norwegian wilderness. Explore Norway's 3rd largest city and formal capital. Perhaps pop into one of the many museums or galleries, or visit the impressive Nidaros Cathedral which is the largest medieval building in Scandinavia. Other sites of note are the Archbishop’s Palace which houses the crown jewels and Stiftsgarden, the oldest wooden palace in Scandinavia. (B)
