Arrive in Kuching and transfer to the Pullman Hotel. Check in and enjoy the afternoon at leisure: head out for an early evening stroll along the pretty waterfront promenade, stop for a coffee in one of many outdoor cafes in this cosmopolitan yet compact city.

This morning, head out of the city and visit Semenggoh Wildlife Centre, a facility dedicated to the rescue and rehabilitation of the loveable orangutans. Return to the city for lunch and discover the charms of this clean and green riverine city on a guided tour. Old Chinese temples and colourful markets dot almost every corner. Return to the hotel and enjoy the evening at leisure. (B,L)
Pick up and drive to Bako Village and take a short boat ride to Bako National Park. The park’s coastline is dotted with small bays and beaches and there are several trails to explore. Return to Kuching. Evening at leisure. (B,L)
Pick up from your hotel this morning and head for Gunung Gading National Park, home to the world’s largest flower, the Rafflesia. Arrive at the park and enjoy a jungle trek along the plank walk in search of these magnificent blooms. Relax or swim at a picnic spot next to a jungle stream or alternatively drive to a small beach to relax and enjoy a swim. Return to Kuching late afternoon for the evening at leisure. (B,L)
This morning drive to the Batang Ai reservoir. En-route stop at Lachau Bazaar, explore the shops and native market. Enjoy an early lunch. Continue your journey to Batang Ai Lake. Board a longboat and travel upriver to Nanga Sumpa, arriving at approx. 330pm (exact time will depend on river conditions). Settle in at the lodge and have dinner. The evening is free at leisure. Overnight at Nanga Sumpa lodge. (B,L,D)

Following breakfast hike the jungle trails looking for the resident wildlife and continue upriver by longboat to the Ensulai waterfall. Along the way the boatman may stop to demonstrate fishing Iban-style. Arrive at the waterfall, enjoy a swim and a riverside BBQ lunch prepared by the Iban hosts. After lunch, proceed by boat and on foot through orangutan country to Lubok Kasai Lodge. Relax, have a swim in the river or just enjoy the quiet surroundings. Orangutans are occasionally seen in this area. After dinner spend a quiet evening at the lodge or go on a short night walk nearby. Overnight at Lubok Kasai Lodge. (B,L,D)

This morning return to the airport for the flight to Mulu and drive to the Mulu Park Chalets. In the afternoon, take a scenic 3km plank walk through primary rainforest to Deer Cave which has the world's largest cave entrance. At sundown a spectacular exodus of about two million bats can be seen heading out in search of food. Next to Deer Cave is Lang’s Cave which has impressive stalactites and stalagmites. Trek back to Park H.Q. by torchlight, enjoy dinner and overnight. (B)

Today proceed by longboat upriver to Wind Cave with its impressive ‘King’s Chamber’. Take a short walk along a plank walk suspended from the limestone cliffs which lead to Clearwater Cave where rare species of orchids and pitcher plants can be seen. Enjoy a simple packed lunch, swim, relax and explore the caves before returning to the Park Chalets. (B,L)
