Tour Itinerary

Aerial view over Oslo

Upon arrival into Oslo Airport take the express train into the city centre and make your way to your hotel for check in. The remainder of the day is free for you to explore Norway's exciting capital.

Clarion Hotel The Hub
Parliament of Norway, Oslo

Today is free for you to explore Oslo at your leisure or to book an optional activity. Norway's capital is an energetic and modern hub which is easily explored by foot. Take a stroll along the city's harbour front and past the iconic Opera House or explore one of the many museums or art galleries on offer in the city (the National Museum is an excellent option). Vigeland Park, filled with over 200 sculptures, is also well worth a visit on a sunny day. (B)

Clarion Hotel The Hub
The impressive Flam Railway

Get ready for a whirlwind day which will sure to be a highlight of your time in Norway. Starting with a spectacular train journey that offers a panoramic view of some of the most magnificent landscapes of Norway as you travel on the Bergen Railway to the mountain station of Myrdal. Here, change trains for the breathtaking Flåm Railway and an exhilarating ride on one of the steepest train lines in the world. In Flåm, you'll get your first glimpse of the magnificent Sognefjord which you'll soon get up close and personal with during a ferry ride across its deep blue water to the charming village of Balestrand, which offers a welcome retreat from the crowds that swarm the tiny village of Flåm. When you dock in Balestrand, your hotel is just a short walk away. (B,D)

Kviknes Hotel
Bøyabreen Glacier

Experience incredible fjord landscapes and see both the Bøyabreen and Supphellebreen glaciers (two arms of the mighty Jostedal Glacier) all in one day. Sail in through the beautiful Fjærland fjord to Fjærland, where the glacier meets the fjord, and take the shuttle bus to the Norwegian Glacier Museum. Afterwards, continue up to Bøyabreen glacier and see how the glacier presses itself into the landscape - an impressive sight to behold and well worth snapping a few photos. Returning to Balestrand by boat. (B,D)

Kviknes Hotel
Norway's Sognefjord

This morning, board the express boat to Bergen for a picturesque morning spent travelling across the fjord and ocean to Norway's second biggest city. The journey starts first by cruising along the majestic Sognefjord until it opens into the skerries and narrow straits that are characteristic of the coastline north of Bergen. Pass by tiny fjord-side villages and then the summer houses belonging to Bergen city dwellers as you near your destination. Upon arrival into Bergen, make your own way to your hotel. The remainder of the afternoon is free for you to explore.
