Superjeep Winter Adventure

Arrive in Iceland’s capital, take a private transfer to the hotel and check in for four nights. In the evening head out on an exciting Northern Lights Superjeep hunt and travel into the mountains in search of the elusive aurora. Travelling by modified jeep allows you to get off-road and hunt for the phenomenon in the dark wilderness.

Perhaps stroll down Laugavegur and shop for Icelandic woollen wear, head to Laugardalslaug outdoor swimming pool for a revitalising dip in the geothermal waters or visit the Northern Lights Centre to learn about the ancient legends and myths which surround the natural phenomenon. Join a Superjeep excursion exploring the trio of natural wonders collectively known as the Golden Circle. Discover icy Gullfoss waterfall which tumbles down a deep meandering gorge and the nearby Geysir geothermal field where mighty Strokkur erupts twenty metres into the air. Continue to Þingvellir National Park, site of the world’s oldest parliament and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Consider booking an optional hour-long glacier snowmobiling adventure as part of this tour. (B)

Full-day tour to Iceland’s south coast. Visit Katla Ice Cave and some of the areas most affected by the 2010 eruption of Eyjafjallajökul. Follow the trail behind Seljalandsfoss waterfall and visit black-sand beaches. (B)

Take a private transfer to the airport via the famous Blue Lagoon, known for its silica, minerals and algae which give the water its vibrant blue colour.
