Snwohotel Kirkenes is nestled in an idyllic forest with the arctic fjord spread out in front. If you are looking to get away during your break in Norway, this is the place to go.
Each winter, the Snowhotel is built anew.
There are 20 uniquely crafted rooms and an ice bar created by master ice sculptors from around the world who draw inspiration from both Norwegian and Sami folklore, fauna and fairy tales to create marvellous works of art for you to spend one spectacular night in at cool -4°C.
For a warmer night’s sleep, the Gamme Cabins are available all year round. These cabins are inspired by the traditional hunting and fishing huts found in the Sami areas of the Arctic with a modern and luxurious twist, incorporating natural woods, underfloor heating, en-suite bathroom and a large, panoramic window for watching the aurora borealis.
There is also a large husky camp on the property, a tiny reindeer park and Høyloftet restaurant which serves up arctic inspired delicacies using fresh and local ingredients.
