Topas Ecolodge is situated on a beautiful hilltop deep in the mountains of Hoang Lien National Park roughly 45 minutes outside Sapa town on a fairly bumpy road.
There are 49 mountain lodges all built as rustic chalet-style houses from local white granite stone.
Each of the bungalows has a private balcony from which you can enjoy the magnificent view of the rice terraces and valleys dotted with ethnic minorities’ villages. The lodge is a great place to get away from it all as the bungalows have no TV or other entertainment and there is no swimming pool or spa facilities, it is very much a rustic option.
The lodge is based on sustainable principles to ensure that the lodge has a minimum impact on the surrounding environment. They employ local staff and use local products and goods in order to bring economic benefits to the local community. The lodge has also implemented a wastewater facility to avoid pollution of the local area.
