Check in at Manila airport for your flight to Cauayan. Upon arrival, a private vehicle will transport you on a 3-hour journey to Banaue. Along the way, you'll stop for lunch at a local restaurant and pass through Kiangan, a village near the banks of the Ibulao River, considered the first village of Ifugao ancestors.

 

Upon reaching Banaue, head straight to Barangay Viewpoint for a panoramic view of the rice terraces, a marvel of Ifugao's engineering. (B,L)

BANAUE TO SAGADA
Hanging Coffins in Sagada

Start your day with an early wake-up call and hop on a local jeepney to Bangaan Village for a stunning daybreak experience. Enjoy a scenic 45-minute ride along a mountain trail with breathtaking views. Explore the village, observe daily life, and learn about rice terraces and irrigation.

 

Return to the hotel for breakfast, check out, and embark on an overland journey through Mt. Polis to Bontoc village. Visit a museum featuring artefacts and photos, then wander through the local market. Continue to Sagada, known for its landscape, hiking trails, and hanging coffins. Finally, head to Bauko, home to Mt. Data Lodge. (B,L,D)

Start early for a long journey ahead. Drive along Halsema Highway, passing Mt. Timbak, the third highest mountain in Luzon. Begin a 1.5-hour trek to the summit for panoramic views of vegetable terraces and surrounding villages. If the caretaker is available, view the mummies kept in one of the caves. Descend and continue the trip to Baguio City. Enjoy a late lunch at a local restaurant and embark on a brief city tour before overnighting at the hotel. (B)

Cebu City is renowned for its warm climate and accessibility, making it a top tourist destination in the Philippines. As the country's second international gateway and the oldest city (established in 1565), it boasts rich history and cultural heritage.

 

The city tour kicks off with a visit to the grand Taoist Temple, showcasing the influence of the Chinese community in Cebu. En route to the Basilica, pass by Cebu's Provincial Capital and Carbon Market. Explore the Basilica de San Agustin, home to the statue of the Infant Jesus, and nearby Magellan's Cross, a significant Christian landmark. Continue to Fort San Pedro, the country's first military stronghold, before concluding the tour at Casa Gorordo. This restored residence in the Parian district offers insights into Cebu's affluent past with period furnishings, porcelain, liturgical pieces, and historical photographs.

 

After lunch at a local restaurant, head to Cebu City Pier for a ferry transfer to Tagbilaran. Then transfer to your hotel for check-in where you'll spend the rest of the day at leisure. (B)

Drive through the Bilar man-made forest on your way to the Chocolate Hills, a stunning geological formation. Enjoy a hike to a viewpoint for breathtaking views.
