Take the train from Gothenburg to Töreboda. This will take about 1.40 mins. Arrive at Pensionat Prästgården where you will get your bike for the next two days.Cycle along the Göta Canal for about 10km when you reach Norrgvarn and you can enjoy an ice cream on the docks. After passing by 16 locks, you reach Sjötorp, located by Sweden's largest lake, Lake Vänern. This is where you will spend the night. (B,D)

In the afternoon, take the train to Lyrestad and leave the bike behind. Explore Lyrestad's charm with a visit to its local church or tranquil nature walks. Today start the day by boarding the train at Mariestad and travel to Hällekis Train station, were you will get your bike. It is only a 25 minutes journey, but is one of the prettiest in Sweden.Enjoy a scenic cycling day at Mount Kinnekulle and enjoy the national cycle route of the Vänerleden trail.Park the bike at Källby's small train station and board the train to the final destination of  Lidköping.
