TALLINN
Tallinn

Today set out to explore Tallinn. Tallinn's Old Town is divided into two distinct parts: Toompea Hill, where the seat of the Estonian government can be found at Toompea Castle, as well as the 19th-century symbol of the Tsar's power in Estonia, the grandiose Alexander Nevsky Cathedral. Lower Town is where you will find the medieval part of Tallinn, cobbled lanes and alleys, and an impressive market square.
Make sure to visit Kohtuotsa and Patkuli viewing platforms for sweeping vistas of Tallinn’s red-tiled roofs, towers and walls set against the backdrop of the Baltic Sea. (B)

Or strap on your walking boots and head out on a guided bog walk! The Estonians love their bogs – walk on wooden walkways around ponds, climb a watchtower whilst listening to stories from excellent local guides. (B)
