Star City consists of two parts; the training facility itself and a small residential area for military and civilian personnel serving the facility, as well as cosmonauts and their families. In Soviet times the town was a top-secret and well-guarded installation, shut-off from the rest of the country and the world.

The tour includes Soyuz spaceship hall where you will learn about the creation of Soyuz spaceships and its technical features, as well as Sokol spacesuit, space food and cosmonauts flight preparation programs. During this excursion you will see the world biggest and unique Centrifuge TsF-18. This outstanding facility is used for simulating g-loads during all the stages of space flight in cosmonaut’s trainings and for cosmonaut’s selection. Visit the Hydrolaborator, which is used for vehicular activity training using the specialised spacesuit Orlan under simulated weightlessness condition.
