Tour Itinerary
Fly from the UK to Kajaani via Helsinki, transfer to Hotel Kalevala and check in. In the evening, enjoy a delicious dinner and perhaps unwind in the hotel's sauna and outdoor jacuzzi. (D*)

After breakfast, perhaps set off on an easy bike tour in Kuhmo and in the afternoon transfer to the forest for a thrilling bear watching night. On arrival, enjoy an early dinner served at the Bear Centre, then reach your private Luxury cabin* and get ready for a special night looking out for bears, wolves and wolverines. Meeting the brown bear and other wildlife in its natural environment, the wild taiga, is an unforgettable experience and offers an opportunity to take the shot of a lifetime from the safety of a specially designed hide. *Luxury cabins come with a double bed, table and chairs, small kitchenette, flush toilet and shower, and audio system allowing external nature sounds to be heard inside of the cabin at will.
In the morning, return to Hotel Kalevala. Enjoy the remainder of the day at leisure, either unwinding at the hotel or joining optional activities. You might try wild swimming, rent a canoe or bike, or simply relax in the hotel’s sauna and outdoor jacuzzi. (B,D*)

Today is dedicated to optional excursions. You might begin with a peaceful guided nature walk through the surrounding forests, discovering local wildlife and folklore. Continue with a fascinating hiking tour along brown bear tracks, exploring the wilderness with an expert guide.
