Essential ICEHOTEL Short Break
The small, remote village of Jukkasjärvi is home to one of Sweden’s most famous attractions: the spectacular ICEHOTEL. Created from huge blocks of ice harvested from the River Torne and a team of artists from around the world who come to turn their ideas into reality, ICEHOTEL is open to visitors from December to April.
Exciting winter activities are available from dogsled tours to northern lights photography adventures. This itinerary includes two-nights in a warm room and one-night in the ICEHOTEL spent at -5°C.

Tour Itinerary
Fly from the UK to Kiruna and transfer to the ICEHOTEL to check in. Tonight will be spent in an Ice Room in the Winter Icehotel. During the day, your luggage is stored safely in the Riverside Lobby, the warm building close to the ICEHOTEL. Your bed will have a thick mattress that rests on a wooden base. The bed is covered with reindeer hides and you will sleep warmly in a thermal sleeping bag.
Be woken this morning with a hot cup of lingonberry juice at your bedside. Enjoy a relaxing sauna session and shower before breakfast. Afterwards, we recommend a visit to the Experience Room combined with a self-guided tour of the ICEHOTEL and ICEHOTEL 365, which opened in 2016 as a permanent structure. Marvel at the spectacular ice-sculpted suites, designed and created by artists from all over the world.
This afternoon, check into your Kaamos Warm room and the remainder of the day is free. We recommend adding on a northern lights hunting excursion. (B)
Enjoy a free day to join one of the exciting activities available at the ICEHOTEL. Perhaps you'll opt to speed off through a winter wonderland on a husky or snowmobile safari, or try your hand at ice sculpting. If relaxation is what you're after, indulge in a traditional sauna ritual experience. Tonight, why not sample your favourite drink at the hotel's Ice Bar. (B)
