Fly to Longyearbyen Airport on Svalbard's Spitsbergen island and transfer to the town of Longyearbyen to check in to the hotel for 2 nights. Perhaps enjoy some traditional Arctic fare at the hotel’s Restaurant Nansen or grab a snack and drink at Barentz Pub & Spiseri.
Explore Longyearbyen and perhaps add some optional excursions. Ask us for some suggestions to enhance your Arctic experience. Enjoy a light dinner at a local restaurant.(B,D)
Morning at leisure in Longyearbyen followed by a guided tour, including visits to Svalbard Museum and Camp Barentz. Embark on MS Serenissima and set sail through Isfjorden, observing arctic wildlife and historical sites. (B,D)
Enter remote Arctic areas with the possibility of catching a glimpse of polar bears. Watch as these majestic creatures go about their day, searching for food. Explore Magdalenefjorden with its historical whaling sites, and possibly sail 80 degrees North near Moffen Island, home to a large walrus population. (B,L,D)
Explore the scenic Kongsfjorden, home to glaciers and rich birdlife, followed by a visit to the research settlement of Ny-Ålesund, where you learn about Arctic exploration history and send a postcard from the northernmost post office. Upon arrival in Ny-Ålesund, the boat will dock at the pier and you can disembark directly onto land. (B,L,D)
Sail through Isfjorden observing its wildlife and geology before returning to Longyearbyen with time to explore the town's unique northernmost establishments. A light lunch at the hotel is included, along with dinner in the evening. (B,L,D)

MS Serenissima, a vessel that seamlessly blends the charm of a classic ocean liner with modern amenities. Originally built as the Harald Jarl of Hurtigruten in 1960. The ship has been meticulously renovated, preserving its history while offering a comfortable and intimate cruising experience. MS Serenissima offers a range of accommodations from luxurious Serenissima suites to comfortable staterooms. With the exception of the inside cabins, all staterooms are outside facing, with either portholes or windows. The ship has a restaurant as well as a fitness room, 2 bars and an outdoor seating area.
