Tour Itinerary
Fly to Tromsø and transfer to the city centre to check-in to your hotel. Tromsø is an ideal base for an Arctic adventure, situated above the Arctic Circle on the fjord and surrounded by picturesque mountains, it offers incredible winter activities and excellent northern lights opportunities. The vibrant community warrants some time to explore with several interesting museums, delicious restaurants and more pubs per capita than any other Norwegian town!
Spend a free day discovering Tromsø’s natural wonders or head out on an optional excursion. Perhaps marvel at the icy wilderness whilst being pulled through fields by a herd of reindeer or join a whale watching boat tour to search for humpbacks and orcas. Cross-country skiing and snowshoeing excursions are also available.
In the evening, embark on an aurora safari and travel through the Arctic wilderness to a base camp to enjoy a hot meal (soup) and campfire. Northern lights sightings here are exceptionally high, with a success rate of 93 percent. (B,D)
