Havila Cruises

Travelling the Norwegian fjords on one of Havila's voyages enables you to experience the most breath-taking views of the rugged cliffs, sea birds, harbours, and small villages that dot the entire coastline.Experience the best of Norway  in brand new, and more eco-friendly ships. Currently there are four in operation : Havila Castor, Havila Capella, Havila Pollux and, Havila Polaris. Each ship has 179 cabins and can accommodate up to 640 guests. The spacious cabins with typical Nordic décor are designed for relaxation and a good night's sleep. All cabins have free Wi-fi, USB ports, TV, Wardrobe.  On board food and drink will take you on a unique Norwegian culinary voyage. The chefs hand-pick the best raw ingredients from local Norwegian producers to create traditional and modern dishes.

The most important ingredient is sustainability.  Havila Capella (maiden voyage in December 2021) was crowned as the winner of the Next Generation Ship Award at Nor-Shipping 2022.  The four new ships are loaded with the world's largest battery pack ever installed on a passenger ship, permitting them to sail through vulnerable fjords, such as the world heritage Geirangerfjord, for four hours nonstop with zero emissions. The batteries are charged with clean hydropower ashore, and when the batteries are not being used they run on LNG (liquid natural gas) which – along with general efficient hybrid operation – cuts CO2 emissions by around 40 per cent.
