The best time to embark on a fjords cruise depends on what you'd like to see and experience:
Visit during peak summer months to experience the midnight sun. You'll see the roaring Seven Sisters waterfalls, lush greenery and active birdlife.
From late autumn to the brink of spring, you'll have a chance of seeing the northern lights in the Norwegian fjords - however, you should opt for the darkest months for the best chances.
Havila has a 'northern lights promise', meaning that if the aurora doesn't appear during your journey from 1 October to 31 March, you'll receive a free six-or seven-day voyage.
Spring is a lovely time to visit Norway. Temperatures become warm enough for kayaking, while nature begins to bloom and show off its beauty. Enjoy lighter days for wandering the villages and cities.
Whilst on board, you have access to all the superb amenities from the indulgent bar and restaurants to the welcoming Jacuzzi, from which you can admire the evolving panoramic views. The food concept takes you on a culinary voyage, with hand-picked local ingredients used to create traditional yet modern dishes.
On board the ships, the cabins are spacious with typical Nordic decor and are designed for relaxation in mind during all Norway cruises.

This cruise line is dedicated to keeping you entertained throughout. Enjoy time watching TV in your spacious cabin, spotting northern lights on a comfortable lounge chair under the glass roof and spending most days out on land, exploring the beautiful regions of the Arctic Circle.
It's likely you'll see the Aurora Borealis between the months of November and February. Choose to sail between these months for the best chances of spotting them on your voyage.
The weather will vary with each season. If you're travelling in summertime, you're likely to catch some warmth under the midnight sun. However, if you're travelling in winter, we recommend bringing your best coats and winter clothes. The wind can be very cold even on the best of days!
