What month is best to cruise the Norwegian fjords?

The best time to embark on a fjords cruise depends on what you'd like to see and experience:

June - August

Visit during peak summer months to experience the midnight sun. You'll see the roaring Seven Sisters waterfalls, lush greenery and active birdlife.

October - March

From late autumn to the brink of spring, you'll have a chance of seeing the northern lights in the Norwegian fjords - however, you should opt for the darkest months for the best chances.

Havila has a 'northern lights promise', meaning that if the aurora doesn't appear during your journey from 1 October to 31 March, you'll receive a free six-or seven-day voyage.

March - May

Spring is a lovely time to visit Norway. Temperatures become warm enough for kayaking, while nature begins to bloom and show off its beauty. Enjoy lighter days for wandering the villages and cities.
