Tour Itinerary
Fly from the UK to Bergen and transfer to the city centre by Flybussen, where you'll spend the first night of your Norwegian adventure. The remainder of the day is at leisure.
Today, explore Bergen.We recommend a stroll through Bryggen, Bergen's atmospheric Hanseatic old town located on the harbour front, where you can also find some of the freshest seafood around at the Torget Fish Market. There are plenty of museums on offer, or escape the city on the funicular to the top of Mount Fløyen for sweeping views of the fjord-side city and the seven mountains that famously surround it. After the first night on board, sail into Ålesund, renowned for its art nouveau architecture with beautiful brick houses and warehouses. In the summer, you can continue to the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Geiranger Fjord, which has steep mountainsides and dramatic waterfalls. (B,L,D)

Explore Trondheim, Norway's 3rd largest city and formal capital. Perhaps pop into one of the many museums or galleries, or visit the impressive Nidaros Cathedral which is the largest medieval building in Scandinavia. On this stretch, we mark crossing the Arctic Circle with a ceremony and continue onward into the Arctic regions. Nature is powerful with northern Scandinavia's largest glacier, the world's strongest tidal current and encounters with the majestic sea eagle.
