Fly from the UK to Stockholm and take the airport express train into the bustling city centre to check in for your two-night stay. The remainder of the day is free for you to explore this exciting capital.
Today, why not consider a visit to one (or several) of the city's excellent museums, galleries or attractions. We highly recommend visiting the Fotografiska museum, the Royal Palace and the incredible Vasa Museum. Or, head to the top of Skyview to see the city from a unique perspective or enjoy the immersive exhibits at the Viking Museum. (B)
After a free day to roam around Stockholm, board the night train and settle into your private compartment for the night journey bound for Kiruna, the gateway to Swedish Lapland. (B)
Take the private transfer to the ICEHOTEL to check in. Tonight will be spent in an Art Suite in the 365 Winter Icehotel. During the day, your luggage is stored safely in the Riverside Lobby, the warm building close to the ICEHOTEL. The bed is covered with reindeer hides and you will sleep warmly in a thermal sleeping bag. (B)
Be woken this morning with a hot cup of lingonberry juice at your bedside. Enjoy a relaxing sauna session and shower before breakfast. Afterwards, we recommend a visit to the Experience Room combined with a self-guided tour of the ICEHOTEL and ICEHOTEL 365, which opened in 2016 as a permanent structure. Marvel at the spectacular ice-sculpted suites, designed and created by artists from all over the world.
This afternoon, check into your Kaamos Warm room for two-night stay. The remainder of the day is free. (B)
Enjoy a free day to join one of the exciting activities available at the ICEHOTEL. Perhaps you'll opt to speed off through a winter wonderland on a husky or snowmobile safari. Join your Ice sculpting class and create a unique Ice sculpture from pure Torne River ice.The instructor demonstrates how to use the tools and basic sculpting techniques.If relaxation is what you're after, indulge in a traditional sauna ritual experience. Tonight, why not sample your favourite drink at the hotel's Ice Bar.(B)
Spend the morning at leisure or take part in an optional excursion before making your way to the airport for the flight back to the UK. (B)
