Nizwa Holidays

Nizwa, a prosperous city, was once the capital of Oman and is renowned for its fort, mosques, souq, and livestock market. It was also known as the Pearl of Islam. The fort, which is now Oman's most visited national monument, took 12 years to build and stands tall with an impressive 40m round tower. The souq, one of the oldest in the country, is the perfect place to purchase a silver Khanjar - a traditional curved dagger. The Friday livestock market is another spectacle that should not be missed.
