Welcome to Camp Barentz, located some 10km from Longyearbyen in the Advent Valley. Here, enjoy a warming delicious reindeer stew (vegetarian option is available) with a glass of wine or beer. Over coffee and cake listen to a presentation on polar bears, stories from Spitsbergen and the history of the first explorers to Svalbard. This far from town you can really feel the wilderness and experience what it was like for explorers here before settlements were built. This excursion operates from 1 March to 30 September, although you spend time around the fire in a cozy hut, we recommend warm outdoor clothing and good boots, as you may wish to spend time outdoors looking at the Northern Lights or enjoying the midnight sun depending on the time of the year.
