Myanmar Andaman Resort is the only resort on Macleod Island in Burma's remote Mergui Archipelago. The resort is more of an eco-lodge than a luxury resort and offers 14 cottages and 8 suite chalets all with en-suite bathrooms, air-conditioning and mosquito nets. There is a restaurant on-site with local and international menus as well as a mini-spa offering massages and other treatments.
The resort offers a range of excursions including jungle trekking, sea kayaking and village visits to meet the resident sea gypsies. The PADI dive centre is operated by an experienced team from Thailand with a thorough knowledge of the local reef systems - it is the first PADI resort in Myanmar.
The Archipelago is located roughly a one-hour flight from Yangon and the secluded island has a pristine beach and some spectacular dive and snorkelling sites nearby.
